108th Annual Connecticut Sheep, Wool & Fiber Festival
Our state’s own Sheep and Wool Festival! The festival runs 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 (Rain or Shine) at Tolland Agricultural Center, Route 30, Vernon/Rockville, CT. Members of the Nutmeg Spinners Guild will represent the guild.

Carson Demers Spinning Ergonomics Class at WEBS
Carson Demers, physical therapist and spinning ergonomics guru, will be teaching a series of classes at WEBS during the weekend of May 6 and 7. Specifically for spinners he is offering a class on “Ergonomics At Your Spinning Wheel” on Sunday the 7th. More information about the class can be found here. 41st New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival
The festival is held Saturday, 9:00am-5:00pm, Sunday, 9:00am-4:00pm at the Deerfield fairgrounds, Deerfield, NH, and features sheep shearing, fiber animals, dog herding demonstrations, sheep dog trials, youth shows and activities, fiber shows, spinning and weaving demonstrations, fleece judging and sale, breed displays, educational programs, special workshops and lectures, as well as, over 120 vendors.

Rhode Island Sheep & Fiber Festival
The festival is held 9:00am-5:00pm at the Coggeshall Farm Museum (Poppasquash Road off of Route 114 in Bristol, RI). Join fiber and textile enthusiasts from across the Northeast at Rhode Island’s only Wool and Fiber Festival. See crafts people demonstrate traditional and contemporary fiber arts; purchase your own textile supplies, equipment, and gifts to take home; watch the hand shearing of sheep, and help with 18th century textile and farm work. Activities include: Sheep Shearing; Sheep to Shawl Demonstration; See Lambs, Sheep, Rabbits, and other Fiber Animals; Spinning & other Craft Demonstrations; Vendor Raffle; Consignment Booth; Kid’s Crafts & Games; Hay Rides. 9:00am-5:00pm. $8.00 for Adults; $5.00 for Seniors and Children (3-12); Children under 3 Free. 8th Annual Long Island Fleece and Fiber Fair
The festival is held Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am-4:00pm (each day) rain or shine at Hallockville Museum Farm, 6038 Sound Avenue, Riverhead NY 11901. The fair will feature two days of on-going demonstrations and activities include: sheep herding, sheep and llama shearing, livestock and animal displays, spinning, knitting, weaving, rug hooking, needle arts, quilting, basketweaving, crocheting, historic tours, exhibits, fiber vendors and food trucks. NHA Open House
This year NHA is hosting their Open House on November 4, in White River Junction. Renowned fiber artist and teacher Robin Russo will be speaking in the morning about using Combs in fiber prep, and then continuing with a workshop in the afternoon for anyone interested in a hands-on learning to comb various fiber types.

Spinning Drop-In at The Quilted Ewe
Beginning in January, on the third Friday, and then on the first and third Friday going forward, there will be a drop in spinning day. Ten a.m. to four p.m. There is no charge. Bring your own beverage and lunch. Microwave available. The Quilted Ewe is located in Hurley Business Park at 37 Greenwoods Rd., New Hartford, CT.
